Ads and reclaiming my name
You may notice a couple of changes:
The most obvious one is that I have a Google AdSense area for text ads on the left. I’m doing this just out of curiousity — so I can see the kinds of reports it generates. If the ads created by this space allow me to purchase a single cup of coffee in a month, I’d be surprised. But you never know. I just want to watch it to see how it adapts with the content I post and if there are any future posts that do get substantial traffic, maybe I’ll make a couple of dollars.
The second is that I changed my username to “Adam Pingel” from just “Adam”. Then I noticed the username wasn’t being included in the posts at all. So I changed that. The point of this is to make sure this blog’s front page is the first Google search result when someone searches for my name. Apologies to rapper Adam Pingel in Milwaukee.
