Submission

Finally wrapped up a short conference submission… I’m pretty new to that game, so we’ll see how it goes. A good experience, at least.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned over the last several months is that the “modeling” community is not nearly as tied to UML or XML as it was in the past. And that’s what always scared me away. So now I feel less afraid to tackle things like ATL or QVT.

I’ll have to write soon about how my perceptions have changed about previous topics like JetBrains, Intentional Software, IBM’s Safari, or DSLs with Ruby. I definitely need a good dose of blogging to help me work through some of the questions that have come up recently.
